THE GREAT HALL
You enter the Great Hall of the castle. In the center, seated in an old,
seemingly uncomfortable chair, the Lord drinks a cup of wine, half asleep. He looks
at you, but doesn't seem to notice, or doesn't care. You were told he was a dog of intellect and a
responsible leader, but he doesn't seem like it. Maybe it's because it's too early in the morning.

To his side, an elegant, finely dressed mutt looks down at you, with
an arrogant expression. He is Broca, the noblemen's physician. He whispers
something to the Lord's ear, but you can't seem to catch what he says. Whatever
he said, the Lord doesn't seem to have paid attention. Instead, he munches on
a piece of bread as his droopy eyelids slowly cover his eyes again.

You keep on looking. In a corner, a young dog plays a card game on a worn wooden table. He is
very tall and lean, and near him, a sword sits againts the table. He is a knight, you observe, but he doesn't
seem very bright. Suddenly, he interrupts his game to chase down two servant girls down a hall.
You can't see where it leads, but you feel sorry for the poor girls.

A tall dog shows up abruptly and passes quickly through the hall, without even
noticing you. He seems very angry. Behind him, another young dog, dirty and
unkept, tries to follow his pace. He carries with him a heavy bag of gold, which
requires him to stand and rest for a moment. He looks at you suspiciously,
before quickly grabbing the bag again and following his master,
who has vanished behind a door.

You hear the sound of the door behind you, so you turn around and look.
A female dog walks into the hall with a grim face. Her age and her fine clothing make
you realise she's the Lord's wife and the Lady of the Manor. She's beautiful, but doesn't
seem very happy. She looks at the Lord, smiles, and leaves the hall through a door. You
hear her steps on the stairs, so you suppose she's going to her chambers. What was
she doing so early in the morning, outside of the castle in the cold?

Someone finally comes to welcome you. You've been waiting for a long time.
"What kind of service does this castle have?", you wonder. It is a young dog, with dark fur
and bright blue eyes. "How may I help you?", he asks. "We're short of staff, it seems many
of our servants have become ill because of the cold. We'd rather not compromise the health
of our guests. My name is [Knight2], son of [Name], and I am a knight of the court. Please join me in
the Stone Hall. The little servants we have left will feed you, and we can discuss
your business there, near the warmth of the fire". He seems nice, so you join
him. It's not like you have much of a choice, anyways.
